Living in a world where cell phone calls are made every nano second, and in which the fax machine is obsolete can only mean one thing: We have reached the future. Wireless and digital technologies have boomed and have suddenly reached a point which is flush with the human mind.

How did such amazing wireless technologies become so affordable for everyday people? And how did it arrive so quickly and into the 21st century? Amazing technologies are created only ever so often. Back in the 1960′s and especially the 1970 ‘s, scientist and engineers where fascinated by the idea of a wireless telecommunications that could take place anywhere on Earth – and especially for military and government purposes.

Since the beginning of the last quarter of the 20th century, cellular radio technologies (including but not limited to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radio technologies) have developed immensely and have become a seemingly fluid and translucent part of life. All around the globe this once top secret radio wave technology is in the hands of people from all demography.

The best wireless technologies might have been developed in the late 1960′s and early to mid-1970′s, but since then wireless technology has become something fantastic.

Wireless technologies have changed many aspects of our lives. The invention of wireless technologies has given us cell phones, smart phones, computer keyboard and mouse, and many other devices.

1. Cell phones are used by over five billion people worldwide. Many individuals use a cell phone as their primary communication device.
2. Smart phones provide a convenience for users to maintain a connection to their computers and the internet.
3. Wireless internet routers provide computer users to connect to the internet without using a wired connection. Computers will need a wireless card installed on the computer to connect to the network. Is this new to you? Catch up here
4. Stores use wireless scanners to assist with customer service. The ISBN number is scanned using a moveable device.
5. Wireless headsets allow businesses to handle phone calls without being attached to a phone.
6. Wireless technology is used in fast food restaurants to allow employees to man the drive thru ordering system without being next to the window pushing a button to respond.
7. Wireless tablets provide delivery workers with the ability to have customers sign for packages in any location.
8. Ereaders use wireless technology to download books and perform simple tasks.
9. Computer devices are used to communicate with workers via a 2-way frequency.
10. Digital cameras send images and videos to a computer using wireless connection.

The wireless technology has greatly improved the communication sector. The first Wireless technology was witnessed in the 1970′s. During this time the digital technology used was analog. In this technology, signals were inflected to higher frequency so as to pass through the server of the device. In the modern world, the analog technology has been replaced by the General System Mobile (GSM technology). The GSM technology has greatly improved the communication sector. These days, it is possible to both short and long distance calls easily. The technology has also increased the efficiency of communication as distortion of information is not possible. However, it is worth noting that having different wireless technologies is a good thing.

Due to the GSM technology, many merchandisers of cellular equipment have come out, which has led to the increase in demand for mobile users. The rise of venders also increased competition for clients thus, resulting to reduced cost of cellular accessories. Other services that have emerged with the GSM are voice calls exchange, short message system (SMS). Another improvement in the wireless technology is the introduction of General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). The GPRS technology is the start of internet or data connectivity through unwired information exchange. Since there was need for faster data transfer and a rise in bit rate transmission, the Enhance Data Rate for Global Evolution (EDGE) was introduced.

Wireless technology available

Wireless technology has greatly improved the lives of many people in one way or another. From real time mobile data services to the internet services, the technology has positively impacted in the lives of many.
The most common wireless technology available includes, the GSM technology, the GPRS technology, the EDGE technology. In GSM (General System Mobile) there is rapid information exchange thus increase in information efficiency and reliability. In these services people can communicate over along a distance within a short time. The coming of the technology has led increase in cellular merchandisers hence increasing the demand for mobile users. Among the services that came with the GSM technology include, short message service, vice call exchange and many more.

The need for internet and data transfer led to the introduction of the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) technology. In this technology people can access the e-mail, browse website and also get other internet related services. The GPRS technology was later transformed to EDGE (Enhanced Data Rate Global Evolution) technology. With the EDGE the data transfer is faster and there is increased bit rate sending. Also the EDGE technology requires merchandisers to introduce mobile phone that matches with the technology.

There is a growing buzz for wireless technology. All of this is evident with the smart phones and laptops that utilize hotspots, but this was just the beginning. Consumers are filling there homes with all sorts of wireless goodies.

The ability to clean was never any fun until wireless vacuum cleaners hit the scene. These little cleaning machines have been around for a while, but they were not always economically feasible.

Wireless printers are also growing in leaps and bounds. It’s hard not to notice all the home owners that are rushing out to get these types of technologies. There’s a big market for it because multiple computers are in the home today. The whole story can be found at http://workinhealth.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/wireless-technology-in-health-care-benefit-or-liability/ It’s much easier for consumers to utilize one printer.

There is also a great demand for the tablet PCs. Tablets have taken over the wireless industry. People are now abandoning their laptops for the iPads. This shows just how great the dependence on wireless technology really is.

Wireless video game sales aren’t far behind the iPad sales. These gaming systems have been a real hit among consumers. They have changed the way that the games are played. All of this allows gamers to be much more interactive.
